HVAC companies that reached the top 3 in our searches had a median of about 128 Google reviews and 35 photos, against 26 reviews and 11 photos for the rest. 85% used Air conditioning repair service as their primary category, while the rest most often used HVAC contractor. Reviews, photos and that category choice are the biggest gaps.

We ran "ac repair" and "hvac contractor" from 5 points around each of Orlando, Winter Garden, Kissimmee (30 Google Maps searches, October 27, 2026) and compared every business that reached the top 3 with the ones ranked 4 to 20.

- Reviews were about five times higher in the top 3 (128 against 26), and ratings were slightly lower (4.9 against 5.0). Volume beat a perfect score.
- Photos were more than three times higher (35 against 11).
- The category choice stood out: 85% of the top 3 used Air conditioning repair service as primary, with HVAC contractor added. The rest most often led with HVAC contractor.
- Top-3 companies listed about four categories, against two for the rest, and 87% had a website on the listing against 63%.
