How to use your review link

  1. Type your business name and town, then pick your business from the list.
  2. Choose Test it to check the link opens your review box.
  3. Choose Copy link and save it where you'll use it: your phone's text shortcuts, email signature, invoices and booking software.
  4. Send it to customers the same day you finish a job. Use the ready-made text or email above, or see what to say when you ask.

Why a direct link gets more reviews

If you send customers to your Google profile, they have to find the reviews section, then the button to write one. Many give up. This link skips all that: it opens the star rating and review box for your business straight away, on phone or computer.

You can also get a link from your own Business Profile: search for your business on Google while signed in and choose Ask for reviews. Both work. This tool is handy when you're not signed in to the account that manages the profile, or you're setting it up for a client.

  • Thank-you emails and follow-ups in your booking or job software.

Tip: Ask every customer, not just the ones you think are happy, and never offer a reward for a review. Both go against Google's rules.

Is this free?

Yes. No sign-up, no card, and nothing you type is saved. It uses the same Google Maps search as our free scan.

Will the link ever stop working?

The link uses your business's Google place ID, which normally stays the same for the life of the listing. If you move or Google merges your listing, make a new one.

Can I use it for a client's business?

Yes. Anyone can make the link for any business on Google Maps; only the customer who uses it can write the review.
