About Am I found?

Why we built it

Local business owners kept asking us the same question: "Am I showing up on Google Maps?" The honest answer was always "it depends where you're standing." Searching on your own phone, next to your own office, tells you very little about what a customer three towns over sees.

So we built a tool that checks properly. Every week, Am I found? runs real Google Maps searches from a grid of places across a business's area, shows where it ranks at each one, who beats it and why, and turns that into a short list of fixes in plain words. How it works explains the details.

Liam runs The Lightning Agency, which handles SEO, paid search, social media and video for local and national businesses across real estate, home services, legal and mortgage. Am I found? started as the tool the agency used to track its own clients' Google Maps visibility, and is now available to any local business.

Liam writes the how-to guides on this site. Each one is checked against Google's own help pages and dated, so you know when it was last reviewed.
